The Evolution of Street League Skateboarding
Street League Skateboarding (SLS) is an international series of elite street skateboarding events that has reshaped the competitive skateboarding scene. Established in 2010 by pro skateboarder Rob Dyrdek, SLS has elevated street skateboarding from local competitions to a prestigious global championship tour, providing professional skaters with a world-class platform to compete on.
With its renowned qualification system and dynamic competition format, SLS offers aspiring career skaters a clear pathway to pursue their professional dreams. What began as independent contests has evolved into a remarkable stage for the world’s most talented skaters. Competing skaters push boundaries on custom-built, one-of-a-kind plaza courses, in major cities across the globe.

A Thrilling Showdown: The Women’s Competition Intensifies
Things have been heating up in the woman’s division recently, and we’re looking forward to this trend continuing at SLS Sydney. Rising star and local Aussie skater Chloe Covell, a fearless competitor at just 13 years old, has a big bag of progressive moves and will be competing alongside renowned international athletes like Rayssa Leal (Brazil, 15 yrs.) and Funa Nakayama (Japan, 17 yrs.). As recent events have pushed the boundaries of what’s possible, the women’s competition promises to deliver enthralling battles and awe-inspiring moments that will no doubt be inspiring to a new generation of female skaters.

Intense Battles and Unpredictable Showdowns: The Men’s Category
At SLS Sydney, we can expect many of world’s top male street skaters to be competing, including Tokyo Olympians and street skateboarding icons. While Nyjah Huston has long reigned supreme, recent events have ignited a captivating shift in the landscape, with a more level playing field and emerging challengers like the young prodigy Ginwoo Onodera (Japan, 13 yrs.). As each skater pushes the limits on the plaza course, prepare for mind melting tricks and fierce battles.
